Will my health insurance policy cover rhinoplasty surgery?
Many health policies will cover some or all of rhinoplasty surgery if it is done to correct physiological breathing problems.  Most surgeries for purely cosmetic reasons are not covered under health insurance.  One of our payment counselors would be happy to go over your policy with you for more information.  Keep in mind that Face Beautiful offers a variety of payment options and financing plans.

What is recovery like following rhinoplasty?
You will need to follow your doctor’s post-operative instructions to ensure correct healing of your reshaped nose.  You will need to spend 1 – 2 days of downtime and use a special splint placed on the nose for protection.  Swelling and bruising are common and can be lessened with medication and cold compresses.  You will also experience minor bleeding which is only temporary.  Your Face Beautiful doctor will remove your splint and sutures within 10 - 12 days and you can get back to life.  However, strenuous activities will be restricted according to your doctor’s recommendations. 

What will my new nose look like?
Your San Diego cosmetic surgeon will recommend an ideal size and shape to complement your facial features, taking into account many factors.  You can opt for a subtle or dramatic change depending on your image of the perfect nose for your face.  You will also have the opportunity to look over before and after photos to communicate your goals and expectations.  Do not be alarmed at your nose appearance following surgery.  After the swelling subsides and your incision sites heal, you should be very pleased with the results.
