At Face Beautiful, we have long been interested in giving our patients the best possible results with the shortest possible recovery times.  We have long seen the promise of the short-incision facelift, and have been practicing the S-Lift for many years, as an alternative for people needing some facial tightening, but not a full facelift.

Now, however, we have combined the best features of a number of short-incision facelifts to come up with an innovative new procedure.  The new Face Beautiful Signature (FABS) Lift improves on the older S-Lift in many ways.  First, it includes increased lateral neck lifting for a better remedy of mild to moderate turkey neck appearance. Next, it also includes some excision (cutting) and tightening of the Superficial MusculoAponeurotic System (SMAS), the muscles and connective tissue that underlie the face.  This excision and lifting is done subtly, delicately, so it does not require the same healing time as a full facelift, but it does give the FABS lift better and longer-lasting results. All this with an incision about the same size as the S-Lift.

In addition, we have developed a variant on the procedure, called the Face Beautiful Extended Signature (FABES), which uses only a slightly longer incision, but includes a midface lifting.  If you have skin laxity and sagging in the midface area, from the area around your mouth to your lower eyelids, the FABES lift is an excellent choice.  In addition, the FABES lift includes a pinch blepharoplasty. A pinch blepharoplasty is procedure designed to reduce excess skin, skin laxity, and wrinkling of the lower eyelid.  Because it is minimally invasive, it carries little risk, and it will heal at about the same rate as the rest of your FABES Lift.  In the procedure, a small incision is made just below the lower eyelashes, and excess skin is removed.  The results of the pinch are good, and by one month, the scar will be nearly invisible, making it a perfect complement to the FABES Lift.
